This birthday has been very special to me. This past year has been a roller coaster of emotions but has been my best year yet. I’ve learned a lot about myself and my faith has become unwavering. My support system has both increased and strengthened. I am more fulfilled in life and learning to appreciate the present. This year, I decided to do something different. My birthday in on July 2^nd but I have made the decision to celebrate the entire month. During my journey of self-love and discovery, I wanted to take time to do things that make ME happy. This celebration is not about being selfish or expecting to be showered with gifts, it’s about me celebrating me. I can’t be a great wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece or friend if I don’t know or love me. This birthday, I am giving myself permission to live life on purpose and with purpose. My journey is not about proving everyone wrong, it’s about proving myself right.
